Advanced Subtitler

Advanced Subtitler is professional software intended for creating images from a text file.

In the typical case, the input is an SRT or SSA file and the output is a set of images in Windows BMP format plus an SST file - the standard set, fully prepared for loading into Sonic Scenarist.

Advanced Subtitler has several advantages compared with similar software:

• WAV visualization, for accurately setting subtitle times
• Any type and configuration of shadow (border around the text) for a text string
• Individual positioning of any text string on the screen
• Support for any image and font size (including HD-DVD and Blu-ray)
• Playback (simulation) of subtitles with sound on the timeline

Advanced Subtitler contains three main windows that can be simultaneously shown on the desktop.

The main window contains the subtitle list, main menu, toolbar and text editing field.

The timeline window contains a time scale showing the subtitle list in playback order. A graphical representation of the sound can also be shown here if the appropriate WAV file has been loaded. The current subtitle is highlighted in a different color.

The screen edit window shows the subtitle exactly as it will appear in the output. In this window you can move the text strings of the current subtitle simply by moving the mouse cursor.
