BD2DoStudio
BD2DoStudio is a powerful tool for Blu-ray demuxing and importing data into the NetBlender DoStudio authoring solution. The main function of BD2DoStudio is the decompilation of a Blu-ray disc into video, audio and other files. All output data is marked with data format information and ready for editing in DoStudio. It saves you time and provides a single tool for reauthoring in DoStudio.
BD2DoStudio is based on DVDLogic's Blu-ray Demuxer Pro and contains additional functions for generating the project file for NetBlender DoStudio. BD2DoStudio has an extended user interface. This user interface allows you to view the entire internal structure of a Blu-ray disc, including all the logic fields created by the authoring software. BD2DoStudio is intended for re-creating old BD projects when you did not save or no longer have access to the original project file or data — for example, when producing a new version of a BD.
BD2DoStudio is simple to use and, on a decent multi-core PC, is faster than real time. The tool records all the operations performed on the BD in the log of the main window.
BD2DoStudio does not re-create the original menu structure, but it creates all the images in PNG format and allows the user to re-create the menu manually.
Here is a list of the main features that make the BD2DoStudio tool very effective for BD/DVD demultiplexing:
- Import demuxed data from ANY unencrypted BD into the NetBlender DoStudio authoring platform — BD2DoStudio can analyze, demux and import any data from a BD to DoStudio. All imported data is marked with additional information such as audio bitrate, resolution, channels, aspect ratio and language. This allows users to continue working in DoStudio and re-create the BD using the advantages of Java-based menus.
- Import demuxed data from ANY unencrypted DVD into the NetBlender DoStudio authoring platform - BD2DoStudio can analyze, demux and import any data from a DVD to DoStudio. This function is perfect when you need to include SD content from a DVD in your BD project. Obviously the SD video itself does not change — it will still be SD.
- Menu images extraction — BD2DoStudio extracts all the images from a BD (interactive menus only) or DVD menu in PNG format. You can then re-create the menu manually. Because the DoStudio authoring platform is based on Java menus, BD2DoStudio cannot automatically re-create a working menu, but it does allow you to assemble one manually.
- Subpicture streams conversion to DoStudio — BD2DoStudio allows easy use of DVD or BD subpicture streams in DoStudio.
- Time-proven DVD and BD demuxing accuracy — BD2DoStudio demuxing is based on DVDLogic's well-known technology. The built-in DVD demuxer is based on DVD Reauthor Pro, which is used by thousands of studios, TV channels and authoring facilities all around the world. BD demuxing is also based on the latest version of BD Demuxer Pro, used all around the world.
The key features are:
- Automatic processing of BD and DVD discs of any complexity. BD/DVD demuxing is based on time-proven demuxing software that allows you to demux any complex disc. It does not matter where the original disc was created or which authoring platform was used. BD2DoStudio helps you move any of your DVDs or Blu-rays to the DoStudio platform, keeping all the video, audio and subtitles previously created.
- DoStudio project file creation — BD2DoStudio creates a project file for DoStudio with the data already inserted, saving you time and effort. It also marks the data with useful format information.
- Subtitle streams processing — BD2DoStudio imports all DVD or BD subtitle streams into the DoStudio project file. It also converts DVD subtitles for use in the newer BD format.
- Menu images extraction — BD2DoStudio decomposes interactive menus for DVD or BD. It saves images in PNG format for every button of every menu page.
- Chapter times — BD2DoStudio keeps all the chapter times and includes them in the DoStudio project it creates.
- The video, audio and subpictures of a DVD are not re-encoded - the video and audio data is not re-encoded; only the headers are changed (if necessary) to make it suitable for use in Blu-ray according to the Blu-ray specification. You may replace any video or audio asset at any stage if required, keeping the rest of the project structure intact.
- Complete processing of a BD or DVD in approximately 2 hours. Highly automated demuxing allows any user to create the resulting project file without setting special options or needing special skills.
- DoStudio project merger. An additional built-in tool allows you to merge two or more DoStudio projects. You can also choose which part of the source projects should be merged into the destination project — the data or the menu.
